I have a new girl in my life

Yesterday, I adopted a gorgeous chocolate lab/heeler mix named Lil Anne.
I will be training her to be my dog with Wally being my parents’ dog. Speaking of Wally, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. He loved being an only child and is getting used to another dog joining the family. Even though he’s much smaller and only a little bit older, he has been trying to assert his dominance. Bless his heart. I don’t think she realizes it and fights right back. I love both of their different personalities. Coco is a tomboy who loves to play all day while Wally would rather nap all day. I originally thought about naming her Wallis, but Wally, given where his breed originated from, objected telling me he would not live in the same house with a dog named after an American woman who almost brought down the House of Windsor in the 30s.
I am naming her Coco because my nieces and nephews love that movie and she even acts un poco loca. Thank you to Concho Valley PAWS, Patricia L, and the rest of the team there.

And she’s so beautiful and really lucky to be a part of your family. Love the name! Love that movie. I think Ellee knows the words to all the songs. I hope she and Wally work it out. I bet he’s not a fan of her puppy energy!
