San Angelo City Council Approves Resolution to Award Rosenberger North America up to $75,000 for project that creates jobs for city
The North American company, based in Akron, PA intends to create 20-30 jobs in San Angelo
During the San Angelo City Council meeting on October 18th, the city council approved future funds of up to $75,000 to be awarded to Rosenberger Site Solutions. The company plans to relocate to San Angelo according to Mike Looney, the vice president of economic development at the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce.
According to Looney, Rosenberger has already secured a site off Tractor Trail that is 20,000 square feet. Additionally, the company focused on industry will create 20 jobs in the city that will be local hires. The economic output will be up to $7.5 million annually.
Additionally, Looney told the city council that the company wanted to be somewhere near Austin so San Angelo was a fit for the company.
Lastly, Looney said that Rosenberger is excited about apprenticeships and will work with both Angelo State and Howard College engineering students as a way to give back to the community.
