When we were young, my siblings and I would tease my oldest sister because her middle name is Grace. It wasn't her, per se, but rather it was funny to us that she happened to be very clumsy.
In today’s society, I believe that mercy, not grace that's more prevalent. While that's awesome, I admit that the idea of grace is more appealing to me? Why? Because grace is free.
You see grace is courteous goodwill. Its definitely not deserved nor is it something you can ask about.
Mercy is seen as a power dynamic in which the person in charge of said slightly usually does it to relieve suffering.
A couple of years back, our family lost our dog Rhapsody. She was a great dog, but unfortunately she was in pain. While it was hard, we showed mercy by organizing her in her late life.
But Grace. Grace is different. It doesn't come from the person who's wronged the other person.
I have sine many things wrong including last at first I was hurt, angry at all of the above.
However, I thought about Grace. According to resilient k: the beauty of grace makes life no fair
I'm sure my sister now appreciates that.
