Why I’m Joining the Ryan Record
A Jack Russell Terrier’s introduction to the publication and a quick primer on why he made this step
Hi, I’m Wally. Not Wall-e. I’m a Jack Russell Terrier Mix and was born and raised in west Texas.
Ever since I was a puppy, I’ve always been interested in the world. Some might say I’m nosy. I say that I’m observant. When I take my human for walks, he sometimes has to pull me away from an area
I am curious and interested in the world around me.
I recently graduated from PetSmart Training School and had my choice of offers to work at different publications. Woof Illustrated. Dogland. The New Bark Post.
Yet, like Vin Diesel in those movies that are a little too fast and little too furious: family means everything to me.
It’s why I love the Angelo State soccer team. I had a foster mom who played defense for them.
It’s why I support Concho Valley Paws. I used to live there a long time ago.
It’s why I chose to work with my human even if he doesn’t take me on a walk every day and he decided to get another dog. How Rude.
Still, I love learning about other people and other dogs. It’s why I accepted a position of staff writer at the Ryan Report focusing on investigative journalism. There are other things I like. I’m not sure you can be the kind of breed that I am without loving all things British. I like shows like Bluey and Paw Patrol. (I’m still a puppy, of course.)
I hope you like what you get from me. If you don’t, shame on you. I’m a dog with a byline. What do you have??
