vulnerability
Dear Reader, except for the trump kids and Yolanda Saldivar oh and laura miller. If you know, you know.
I must confess that I have been feeling alone and paranoid lately. It seems like my moods have varied wildly. Sometimes I am vulnerable; later, I ask what I have done. I was called a joke, delusional, and a loser by someone who bears a striking resemblance to that one movie where fetch is not so fetched and that they wear pink on Wednesday. It comes me down. Due to anxiety, I couldn’t even make it to my therapist appointment this morning. I wanted to do everything at once. That I have manic and depressive episodes makes me feel like that one song that the brain sang in that one PBS show.
It’s not fun when you have only 2 dollars in your checking account, or you want to join Downtown San Angelo but can’t due to limited funds and disbelief in yourself. I struggle with wanting to do something more than living with my parents in a twin bed. Besides loving politics and sports, that was the main reason to write. Let me make one thing clear by this Jon Foreman song: it was all self-inflicted.
God, I do not want wealth but give me wisdom so I can finish well.
Solomon and David
The other day I went to a Bible Study not only to go but to network.
To The high school athletes following me, get into a community, please. I did not. and I regret it.
I must have been the youngest there by 20 years, but they talked about how both men were great but had one big difference. David had his own MeToo moment, but he vowed to be different. He ended well. Solomon, who had pleased God by asking only for wisdom, fell into vices. By the way, I think I want what he’s having if he was that active at his age. Still, he did not end well. I sent this to Melissa Tjarks because it reminded me of Jon, down to me wanting to go to Columbia Law and work on CBAs for either the NBA or PA.
When I first heard of the suspension of Ime Udoka, the first thing I thought of was thinking about him and letting him know I was there for them. If you read this, RC or Poppo, send him my thoughts and prayers. At a time when mental health for men of color is at an all-time worse, let’s support him. The Beauty of Grace means life is not fair. But, just like me, if you embrace it fully, things will get better. I had to deal with dire consequences, just not like you, but I am always here if you need something to vent.
